Toombs County won the last time they faced Tattnall County and Justin Powell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 28-6 victory on Friday thanks in part to Powell, who rushed for 178 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106.8 rushing yards per game.

The win made it two in a row for Toombs County and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 13 points in those games. As for Tattnall County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Toombs County and Tattnall County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs will square off against rival Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tattnall County is set to challenge their familiar foe Crisp County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
