Softball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

Fairmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-7 to the Jack Britt Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 last Wednesday.

Fairmont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Cummings, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Fairmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jack Britt, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Fairmont didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against South Brunswick on the 4th. As for Jack Britt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-2 victory against Douglas Byrd on the 4th.
