Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Atlantic Coast

Atlantic Coast entered their tilt with St. Johns Country Day on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 54-45 victory over the St. Johns Country Day Spartans.

Among those leading the charge was Da'Juan Thompson, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Willis, who posted nine points.

Atlantic Coast was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Erik Williams and Camden Cooper certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Williams earned nine points and six boards, while Cooper put up 11 points and five rebounds.

Atlantic Coast has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for St. Johns Country Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Atlantic Coast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-50 win against Parker on the 14th. As for St. Johns Country Day, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-43 loss against Bishop Snyder on the 13th.
