Volleyball Recap: Brynlee Ash Key Part of Team Effort in Bearcats Win

There's no place like home for Hermann, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bourbon War Hawks on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hermann took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-5.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hermann to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynlee Ash, who had five digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Kealie Lane, who had nine digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Hermann was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Hermann's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13-2. As for Bourbon, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15-3.

Coming up, Hermann will square off against Linn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bourbon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
