There's no place like home for Smoky Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pisgah Bears a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Pisgah with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Angela Gonzalez, Lola Craft, and Melanie Pineda.

Smoky Mountain pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Pisgah, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1-1.

Looking ahead, Smoky Mountain will venture away from home to face off against North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pisgah, they will square off against Asheville T at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
