Football Game Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Quitman Panthers + Official Tickets

The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints will challenge the Quitman Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: St. Andrew's Episcopal has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Quitman will arrive with three straight wins.

St. Andrew's Episcopal is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Union on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Saints were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, while Quitman put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Southeast Lauderdale. The Panthers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over the Tigers. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Quitman's win came from a few key players St. Andrew's Episcopal will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jamarioun Dear, who rushed for 64 yards and two TDs on only nine carries.

Quitman now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
