Meanwhile, Mahanoy Area can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 64-24 win over Shenandoah Valley at home. Given Mahanoy Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 660th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marian Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Mahanoy Area, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-0.
