Basketball Recap: Pebblebrook Takes a Loss

Pebblebrook lost against Paulding County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pebblebrook Falcons were dealt an 89-29 loss at the hands of the Paulding County Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Patriots are ranked 56th).

Paulding County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayla Manigault, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. Manigault is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Alexus Wilson, who went 8 of 15 en route to 21 points and seven steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Pebblebrook and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Paulding County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Pebblebrook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-29 defeat against Wheeler on the 25th. As for Paulding County, they will head out on the road to take on South Cobb at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paulding County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.
