Basketball Recap: Elsie Bailey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Sanpete over Juab

North Sanpete managed to keep up with Juab until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The North Sanpete Hawks lost 46-26 to the Juab Wasps. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

North Sanpete lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elsie Bailey, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Job, who earned ten points and three steals.

Juab was led to victory by Hailee Hall and Maggie Rosenbeck. Hall went 7 for 12 on her way to 17 points and six boards, while Rosenbeck scored nine points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Wright, who put up nine points.

North Sanpete's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Juab, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

North Sanpete will square off against Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Sanpete is facing Delta at the right time seeing as Delta is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Juab, they will challenge Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon View will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Juab surely won't give up without a fight.
