Softball Recap: Sullivan Triumphs

Sullivan won the last time they faced Okaw Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redskins walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Timberwolves.

Aeralyn Thrasher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.

At the plate, Player #25 was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Player #6 was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Sullivan now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Okaw Valley, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Sullivan will welcome Tuscola at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Okaw Valley, they will challenge Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.67 runs per game on average), something the Timberwolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
