Basketball Game Preview: Paducah Dragons vs. Anson Tigers

The Paducah Dragons will challenge the Anson Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Paducah was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-33 to Haskell.

Despite their loss, Paducah saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Maverick Monroe, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Monroe is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Ethan Garibaldi was another key player, putting up seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Anson took a blow against Huckabay on Tuesday, falling 57-27. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Paducah dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
