Wimberley entered their tilt with Bandera on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the BULLDOGS. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-0 on Tuesday.

Alex Abrusley and Jayden Hall were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Abrusley tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Hall pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At the plate, Abrusley earned two RBI and one run, while Hall went 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cohen Payne, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Wimberley's record now sits at 9-5-1. As for Bandera, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15-3 record this season.

Wimberley will take on Fredericksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Texans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Billies have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Bandera, they will face off against Long Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
