Basketball Recap: Garrison Takes a Loss

Garrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Broaddus Bulldogs, falling 57-37.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Broaddus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colton Modisette, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ace Williams, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

Garrison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Broaddus, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Garrison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-44 win against Elysian Fields on the 31st. As for Broaddus, they will head out to challenge Laneville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Broaddus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Laneville likes a good challenge.
