Softball Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Evanston Wildkits

The New Trier Trevians are taking a road trip to challenge the Evanston Wildkits at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. New Trier will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

New Trier will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Glenbrook North, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trevians walked away with a 5-1 win over the Spartans on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Trevians have beaten the Spartans on their field since May 4, 2022.

Meanwhile, Evanston came up short against Glenbrook South on Tuesday and fell 10-5. The Wildkits have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Delila Liston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for New Trier, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Everything went New Trier's way against Evanston when the teams last played two weeks ago, as New Trier made off with a 12-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trevians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
