Softball Recap: Kellis Comes Up Short

Kellis lost against Ironwood last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kellis came up short against Ironwood, falling 11-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kellis got a good showing from Kayle Chamberlain-Kirby, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Chamberlain-Kirby has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

Kellis' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ironwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kellis is set to take on their familiar foe Lake Havasu at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ironwood will challenge rival Willow Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
