Hueytown is a perfect 7-0 against Brookwood since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Gophers will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Brookwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hueytown, who comes in off a win.

Hueytown is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against McAdory by a score of 43-36 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Gophers in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won eight in a row.

Hueytown's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Quentrell Jackson and Kobe Coleman. Jackson picked up 123 receiving yards and one TD while Coleman picked up 112 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Brookwood took a blow against Central on Friday, falling 56-14. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Brookwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jamarcus Jackson rushed for 63 yards and one score, and also threw for 102 yards and one touchdown.

Hueytown now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brookwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Hueytown against Brookwood in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Gophers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
