Volleyball Game Preview: Alisal Trojans vs. Stevenson Pirates

Alisal is 1-6 against Stevenson since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Trojans will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Stevenson will be up against a hot Alisal team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Watsonville on Monday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Stevenson got the win against Watsonville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wildcatz recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

While Stevenson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-23.

Alisal's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Stevenson, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Everything went Alisal's way against Stevenson in their previous matchup back in September, as Alisal made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
