Softball Recap: Avery Comes Up Short

Avery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Wolfe City Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 last Thursday.

Avery's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wolfe City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. As for Wolfe City, they will take on Celeste at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wolfe City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
