Basketball Recap: Pembroke Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Pembroke Dragons ended up a good deal behind the Wilson Lakemen and lost 39-23. The match marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Pembroke saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden Hootman posted 11 points and seven steals. Hootman has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Pembroke's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Wilson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pembroke will take on Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Griffith Institute/West Valley at 1:00 p.m.
