Softball Recap: Chippewa Falls' Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Chippewa Falls and D.C. Everest squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Chippewa Falls had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Evergreens by a score of 2-1. The Cardinals were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the five games prior), but the Evergreens' pitchers proved too tough.

With the loss, Chippewa Falls broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-13. As for D.C. Everest, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-2.

Chippewa Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for D.C. Everest, they will face off against Menomonie on Thursday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
