Softball Recap: Rochelle Takes a Loss

Rochelle lost against Ottawa back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hubs fell 7-3 to the Pirates.

Rochelle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Rochelle has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Ottawa, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-10.

Coming up, Rochelle will venture away from home to square off against Ashton-Franklin Center at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ottawa, they will face off against Coal City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Coalers at the right time seeing as the Coalers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
