Baseball Recap: Springville Comes Up Short

Springville lost against Riverton back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Springville lost 12-2 to Riverton. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Springville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Child, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Child a new career-high.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Riverton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

When Springville and Riverton next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Springville will challenge Moapa Valley and their three-game winning streak at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Riverton will try to stop Madison's three-game winning streak when they meet at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
