Clear Lake extended their postseason success on Saturday against Berean Christian. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Eagles. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Adam Bruch JR was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off ten hits. Bruch JR was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Johnny Gonzales III, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Jesse Hayes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Clear Lake pushed their record up to 18-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Berean Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season.

Clear Lake will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against American Canyon at 5:00 p.m. Berean Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
