Football Recap: Southside Christian Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Southside Christian's offense. They lost 24-0 to the Powdersville Patriots on Friday. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Sabres struggled afterwards.

Even if they lost, Southside Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Ben Bobo was the leader with two.

Southside Christian dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Powdersville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southside Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Powdersville will take on rival Christ Church Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
