Baseball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion blew Center Point-Urbana out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Center Point-Urbana got their revenge. The Wolves fell just short of the Stormin' Pointers by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Marion's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for Center Point-Urbana, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Marion has already played their next contest, a 13-12 victory against Waverly-Shell Rock on the 21st. As for Center Point-Urbana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
