Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhart). They breezed by the South Bend Riley Wildcats to the tune of 68-39 on Saturday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

South Bend Riley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serenity Farmer, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Erin Span, who had nine points.

Elkhart's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for South Bend Riley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Elkhart will welcome Homestead at 2:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for South Bend Riley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-46 victory against Mishawaka Marian on the 4th.
