Basketball Game Preview: Roma Gladiators vs. Mission Eagles

The Roma Gladiators will square off against the Mission Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mission took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Roma, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Roma turned things around against Juarez-Lincoln on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 49-29 margin over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Mission was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-48 to Martin. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Roma's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Mission, they now have a losing record at 13-14.

Roma didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mission when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win. Will Roma repeat their success, or does Mission have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
