Recap: Nixa Eagles vs. Ozark Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Nixa Eagles walked away with it. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over Ozark. The win was just business as usual for Nixa, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Nixa got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Rebura out in front who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Malachi Rider was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Another reason for the win was Nixa's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Jayden Antonelli and his two sacks.
Nixa's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Ozark, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Nixa will look to defend their home field on Friday against Joplin at 7:00 p.m. Joplin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Nixa likes a good challenge. Ozark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
