The Woodland Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Leopold Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Woodland proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Malden 4-2.
Meanwhile, Leopold made easy work of Scott County Central last Wednesday and carried off a 15-7 win. The victory was just what Leopold needed coming off of an 11-3 loss in their prior matchup.
Woodland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Leopold, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Woodland beat Leopold 14-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodland since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
