Basketball Recap: Gilbert Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carroll, Gilbert was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Winterset Huskies by a score of 59-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-42 back in December of 2024.

Gilbert is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Winterset, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

When Gilbert and Winterset next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Gilbert will face off against North Polk and their 13-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Winterset will try to stop Van Meter's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
