Basketball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Perrysburg Yellow Jackets

Anthony Wayne and Perrysburg are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Anthony Wayne Generals are taking a road trip to face off against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Anthony Wayne is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Whitmer by a score of 73-70. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Perrysburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 83-56 loss at the hands of Central Catholic. The matchup marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Anthony Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Perrysburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Anthony Wayne didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Perrysburg in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win.
