Baseball Recap: Houma Christian Triumphs

Houma Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.1 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Augustine Purple Knights, sneaking past 13-11. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Houma Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Augustine, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.
