After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waterford, Fitch was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Montville Wolves 16-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hailey Merrill made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
