Basketball Recap: Torrington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Newcastle last Saturday, Torrington came back down to earth. The Torrington Trailblazers fell 61-53 to the Wheatland Bulldogs on Thursday. The Trailblazers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Torrington lost, don't look at Landre Greiman. Despite the final result, he on his way to 22 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Greiman now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. Ryan Moorehouse was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Torrington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wheatland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Torrington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-55 win against Burns on the 22nd. As for Wheatland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-41 victory against Rawlins on the 22nd.
