Baseball Recap: Brillion Wins Going Away Against Sheboygan Falls

Brillion won the last time they faced Sheboygan Falls and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Chase Braun was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Hayden Cousin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Reinke, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Brillion's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Sheboygan Falls, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Brillion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Algoma on the 10th. As for Sheboygan Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Oostburg on the 10th.
