Basketball Recap: Foyil Takes a Loss

Foyil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 45-29 fall against the Copan Hornets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-39 back in December of 2024.

Foyil's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Copan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Foyil Panthers take on the Welch Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Copan, they will face off against Barnsdall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Barnsdall will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Copan surely won't give up without a fight.
