Volleyball Recap: Paoli Comes Up Short

Paoli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Springs Valley Blackhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

Kalyn Hannon paced Paoli's offense, picking up eight kills. Hannon got some help from Maddie Vernon and her 15 assists.

Springs Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyan Green led the charge by getting four aces and one assist. That's the most aces Green has posted over her last 11 matchups.

Paoli's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Springs Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Paoli didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Shoals on the 6th. As for Springs Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Corydon Central on the 4th.
