Basketball Recap: Pine Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jumpertown last Thursday, Pine Grove came back down to earth. The Pine Grove Panthers took a blow against the Byers Lions on Friday, falling 71-37. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 42-41.

Pine Grove's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Byers, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-10.

Pine Grove will look to defend their home court on Monday against Ashland at 7:30 p.m. As for Byers, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-44 loss against Power Center Academy on the 25th.
