It was a good run, but King unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Palm Desert Aztecs by a score of 1-0. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aztecs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

King's offense was headlined by Brooklynn Brackenridge and Jael Moore, who picked up three kills apiece. They were helped by Brielle Thompson and Angeline Morales, who contributed four assists each. Kaylie Downs and Brooklyn Nielsen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

King's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Palm Desert, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, King will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rancho Verde at 5:45 p.m. As for Palm Desert, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Kaiser on the 23rd.
