Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Comes Up Short

Sacred Heart lost against Bennington back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Sacred Heart was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13.

Leading Bennington to victory were Mara Pickering and Marley Rodenbeek. Pickering had 11 digs and two assists, while Rodenbeek had 11 assists and four digs.

Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 18-18. As for Bennington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-7 record this season.

Sacred Heart has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Herington on the 20th. As for Bennington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Sedgwick on the 20th.
