            Softball Recap: Sage Creek Bobcats vs. El Capitan Vaqueros        
        
		
        
        
            Sage Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  11-2 to the El Capitan Vaqueros. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their  loss to the Vaqueros from their previous meeting  back in March of 2023.
Sage Creek got a good showing from  Molly Fitzpatrick, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Fitzpatrick has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Sage Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Torii Ramirez, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases. Another  was  Lola Carson, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases.
Sage Creek now  has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for El Capitan, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-8.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sage Creek will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Torrey Pines at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 15th. As for El Capitan, they will face off against West Hills at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wolf Pack's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Vaqueros' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
