Volleyball Recap: Northwest Lions vs. Mehlville Panthers
After flying high against Clayton last Monday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mehlville Panthers on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Grant Drikow went supernova For Mehlville., getting four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Drikow a new career-high.
Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Mehlville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will host Affton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mehlville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Seckman at 5:30 p.m.
