Basketball Game Preview: Monticello Billies vs. Hamburg Lions

Monticello and Hamburg are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Monticello Billies will head out to face off against the Hamburg Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Monticello has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Monticello turned things around against Crossett on Friday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 53-44.

Meanwhile, Hamburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 61-25 loss at the hands of Warren.

Hamburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Monticello, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

Monticello beat Hamburg 58-51 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monticello since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
