Basketball Recap: Southland Beats Kenyon-Wanamingo for Their 14th Straight Win

Southland put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Southland pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.3 points. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Houston at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Houston knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Southland likes a good challenge. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Kenyon-Wanamingo surely won't give up without a fight.
