Van had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Lindale on Tuesday. The Vandals never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Vandals haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Van's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.3 runs. As for Lindale, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8-1.
