Baseball Game Preview: Bayshore Christian Eagles vs. Elberta Warriors

The Bayshore Christian Eagles will face off against the Elberta Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bayshore Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Bayshore Christian earned a 7-4 win over Davidson.

Corbin Tucker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Bayshore Christian: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 0-4 otherwise. Tucker was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other pitching news, Ronan Yots tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

Tucker wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Asher Hilbun, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Hilbun's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Elberta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Daphne, falling 9-1.

Bayshore Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for Elberta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
