Albemarle School took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They walked away with a 45-34 victory over the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins. This was payback for the Colts, who suffered a 48-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Albemarle School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Javonte' Borg led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Stavros Giannakopolous, who posted six points and five assists.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Albemarle School has already played their next matchup, a 51-46 loss against New Life Academy on the 21st. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bertie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
