Football Recap: Mt. Diablo Takes a Loss

Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the McClymonds Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 565th, while the Warriors are ranked 103rd).

Mt. Diablo's record now sits at 3-3. As for McClymonds, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Mt. Diablo will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Concord at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for McClymonds, they will face off against Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
