Brown lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Doss, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. Brown blew past Doss 13-0 on Thursday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by eight runs or more this season.

Quinn Gallagher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Brown got a massive performance out of Oscar Wright, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Wright is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Jamison Calloway was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 1-for-2.
Brown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Atherton might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Clay who claimed the real prize. Atherton took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clay. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jackson Lonnon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, McCoy Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Caleb Johnson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Brown's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Atherton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Brown has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .510. However, it's not like Atherton struggles in that department as they've averaged .465. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
