Softball Recap: Slippery Rock Takes a Loss

Slippery Rock lost against Wilmington back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Slippery Rock lost 12-2 to Wilmington.

Slippery Rock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Wetzel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Slippery Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wilmington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Slippery Rock will welcome Mercer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilmington, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mohawk Area at 4:00 p.m. Wilmington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Mohawk Area has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
